Nepal to raise climate justice, mountain issues at COP31, Foreign Minister Khanal heads to Turkey

Foreign Minister Shishir Khanal is heading to Turkey to lead the Nepali delegation at the 31st Conference of the Parties (COP31) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). According to Thahakhabar, he will depart tomorrow.

Nepal has prepared to strongly raise the issues of climate justice, protection of mountain regions and climate-induced disasters at the conference.

Nepal is set to present to the international community the suffering faced by its citizens due to floods, landslides and other disasters caused by climate change in various areas, including Bhotekoshi.

Issues of growing risk in mountain regions will also be raised at the conference.
