Removed IGP Dan Bahadur Karki's writ still under review at Supreme Court, not yet registered

The writ petition filed by outgoing Inspector General of Police (IGP) Dan Bahadur Karki against the government's decision to appoint Manoj Kumar KC as IGP is still under review at the Supreme Court. The writ has not yet been registered.

Karki filed the writ seeking reinstatement to the post of IGP. Discussions on the matter are underway at the Supreme Court, and it has been said there is a possibility the writ could be registered today.

If the writ is not registered today either, there is little chance of a hearing before Tihar. Since the court will reopen only on Kartik 27, the writ will come up for hearing only after that.
