Federation of Journalists asks president not to authenticate Press Council ordinance

The Federation of Nepali Journalists has asked President Ram Chandra Paudel not to authenticate the proposed ordinance amending the Press Council of Nepal Act.

The federation made the demand in a statement issued on Wednesday. It raised serious objections to the provisions proposed in the ordinance meant to amend the Press Council of Nepal Act, 2048.

Objecting to the proposed ordinance, the federation urged the president not to authenticate it.
