NCP's two-month national awakening campaign starts tomorrow

The Nepal Communist Party (NCP) will launch a two-month national awakening campaign starting tomorrow, Kartik 7.

According to the party, the campaign will run until Mangsir 25.

The main objective of the campaign is to collect the problems and demands faced by the people and work towards their resolution.

Under the campaign, memorandums and demand letters will be submitted to the Prime Minister at the centre, chief ministers at the provincial level, and chief district officers at the district level.

The party has prepared to organize public gatherings, interactions, seminars and press conferences at various locations across the country.

Through these programs, the party says it will draw the attention of concerned bodies to problems such as rising prices, unemployment, corruption, black-marketing, insecurity and livelihood difficulties.

The party will also take the initiative to secure rescue, relief and compensation for citizens affected by natural disasters and to help with their resettlement.

The NCP has stated that public-service and awareness-raising programs will also be carried out during the campaign period.

The decision to run the campaign was made at a meeting of the party's central coordination committee held on Asoj 23.
