Finance minister Wagle and India's Jaishankar hold Q&A at NDTV World Summit

Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Wagle held a question-and-answer session with Indian External Affairs Minister Dr S. Jaishankar at the "NDTV World Summit 2026" held in New Delhi, India. He took part in the summit as an international guest speaker.

At the session titled "The Geopolitics of Sovereign Choice" held on Thursday, the two ministers discussed the changing global situation and the shape and future of international cooperation. During the discussion, Finance Minister Wagle raised the issue of Nepal-India relations and regional cooperation, including cooperation on disaster management, nutrition and clean energy.

Indian External Affairs Minister Jaishankar said international cooperation did not always need to be bound within formal institutional structures. He emphasized practical, flexible and results-oriented cooperation.

At the event, Finance Minister Wagle also thanked India for its immediate assistance during recent disasters in Nepal and during the devastating 2015 earthquake.
