24 South Koreans deported for working against the purpose of their visa

The Department of Immigration has deported 24 South Korean nationals, saying they had been working against the purpose of their visa.
According to the department, their stay in Nepal appeared suspicious and their conduct was doubtful. They had entered on tourist visas, and police took them into custody after receiving information that they were engaged in religious activities.
They had taken part in a graduation ceremony and religious event at Nepal New Covenant College (NNCC) in Sundardanda, Malati Marg, Sundarharaicha Municipality-7, Morang.
The District Administration Office, Morang, handed them over to the department on Asoj 23 for investigation and action. The department cancelled all their visas and fined each of them 50,000 rupees. They have been barred from entering Nepal for three years from the date they leave the country.
The department said that although their visas had not expired, action was taken under immigration law and they were deported on Asoj 28.
