Dispute within ruling party over Sudurpashchim budget, provincial assembly meeting postponed

A dispute has intensified within the ruling party over the budget for the current fiscal year 2083/84 BS, which the Sudurpashchim provincial government presented after a delay of nearly two months. The provincial assembly meeting has been postponed because of the dispute.
Lawmakers from both CPN-UML and the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) have expressed dissatisfaction with the budget. Discontent surfaced within the ruling party after the provincial minister for economic affairs presented the budget in the provincial assembly on Sunday.
Following the dispute, the provincial assembly meeting has been pushed to tomorrow. The chief minister has called ministers for discussions on the matter.
