Federal government grants Rs 20 million to six disaster-hit Baglung municipalities

The federal government has given Rs 20 million in first-phase grants to six local units in Baglung declared 'disaster-crisis areas.' The amount was provided to help them cope with the disaster.

The floods and landslides of Asoj 11 had caused major loss of life and property in Baglung. The government subsequently declared those municipalities disaster-crisis areas.

This grant is the first phase of support given to the disaster-affected local units. The federal government sent the funds while rescue, relief and rehabilitation work continues in the flood- and landslide-affected areas.
