Crowds at Gaddachowki as Dashain-Tihar returnees from India face mandatory health checks

Health screening is underway at Kanchanpur's Gaddachowki border point for Nepalis returning from India to celebrate Dashain-Tihar. The crowd of travelers at the border point has increased during the festival season.
Since traveler traffic at border points rises during festivals, the government has arranged health screening at the border to prevent various infectious diseases. Health screening has been made mandatory for travelers arriving from India.
In the month of Asoj alone, 4,700 people were screened for health at the Gaddachowki border point.
