RSP lawmaker Bhandari defends Finance Minister Waglay's Delhi remarks

Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) lawmaker Badan Bhandari has said Finance Minister Dr Swarnim Waglay's remarks in New Delhi, India, were sensible.
Speaking at an interview programme organised by Reporters' Club Nepal in Kathmandu on Sunday, he openly defended the finance minister's comments.
Speaking in Delhi, Finance Minister Waglay had said the tendency to appear nationalist in Nepal by opposing India was now over.
Lawmaker Bhandari said there was no need for unnecessary criticism of that remark, arguing that since the finance minister's statement came with sound judgment, it should be taken positively.
Bhandari pointed out that the main challenge facing the government, which has completed six months in office, is controlling inflation. He suggested the government should pay special attention and take concrete steps to bring down prices.
Making clear that the current government's term is five years, he claimed it would fulfil the public's expectations within that period.
