Best Kukur Tihar reel to win 100,000 rupees in new contest

The Nepal Tourism Board, acting on a concept from the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, is organizing its first-ever reel competition focused on Kukur Tihar.
The creator of the best reel will receive a prize of 100,000 rupees. The competition aims to showcase the cultural significance of Kukur Tihar and the bond between humans and dogs to the world through digital content.
Minister Khadga Raj Paudel "Ganesh" has been emphasizing digital promotion to market Nepali tourism internationally. Under his direction, swings called "linge ping" were installed at 100 locations across the country during Dashain, in collaboration with local governments and tourism associations.
Participants must post their own original and creative Kukur Tihar video on Facebook or Instagram, then send a Google Drive link of the video to the board's email address.
This year, Kukur Tihar falls on Sunday, Kartik 22.
