Irrigation and river control: 102 tenders floated in just two months of this fiscal year

In just the first two months of the current fiscal year 2083/84, 102 tenders have been floated for irrigation expansion and river control.

The Department of Water Resources and Irrigation, under the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, floated the tenders in the opening months of the fiscal year for work related to irrigation expansion, river control, and management of water-induced disasters.

According to the department, more than 80 emergency contracts had been awarded before the monsoon.

The department said the tender process was advanced right at the start of the fiscal year in order to speed up work related to irrigation expansion and river control.
