Pakistani players' NPL participation in doubt as PCB reportedly demands $25,000 per player

With just one day left before the third edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL) begins, the participation of Pakistani players has been thrown into doubt.
According to cricket portal ESPNcricinfo, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has raised issues over the No Objection Certificate (NOC) that players need to take part in the tournament. It has been claimed that the PCB has demanded $25,000 per player.
ESPNcricinfo reported that several people associated with the NPL said permission for players who had already received their NOC earlier has also been put on hold for the time being.
The third edition of the NPL is set to begin on Monday at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.
