PM Balen Shah to attend NPL opening, wishes Nepali cricket well

Prime Minister Balendra Shah will attend the opening ceremony of the third edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL). The tournament begins today, Monday, Kattik 9.

Running from October 26 to November 21, the tournament features eight teams. The opening match pits defending champions Lumbini Lions against runners-up Sudurpashchim Royals.

Ahead of the NPL's start, Prime Minister Shah wished Nepali cricket well on Facebook, calling the NPL Nepal's biggest sporting competition.

He ended his message saying, "Long live Nepali cricket."
