Around 1,591 sheep and goats brought down from Mustang for Tihar

Ahead of Tihar, about 1,600 sheep and goats have been brought down from Mustang to lowland areas for sale.
According to Dr Lalmani Aryal, chief of the Agriculture and Livestock Development Office in Mustang, these include about 1,400 goats and about 200 sheep.
About 1,300 of the animals came from Mustang's own herders and traders, while the remaining roughly 300 were brought to Mustang from upper Dolpa.
Of those brought from Dolpa, about 225 are goats and about 70 are sheep.
These animals, brought to Jomsom from upper Mustang and to Mustang from Dolpa, had already been bought by traders and taken toward the lowlands by Wednesday morning.
