Nepal's priorities at COP31: climate justice, adaptation and loss and damage

Nepal has made climate justice, protection of mountain regions, climate adaptation and loss and damage its key priorities at COP31.
The 31st Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change will take place in Antalya, Turkey, from Kartik 23 to Mangsir 4.
The Ministry of Forests and Environment said Nepal is preparing to advocate for climate justice by presenting to the world the fact that, despite contributing little to climate change, the country is bearing its brunt.
Ministry Secretary Rajendra Prasad Mishra said risks are rising in mountain regions and that recent disasters have exposed their vulnerability. He said Nepal will draw the attention of the international community to the protection of mountain areas and the losses being suffered by communities at risk.
