Mechi-Mahakali Shree Muktinath chariot procession to begin from Kartik 8

The nationwide Mechi-Mahakali Shree Muktinath Rath Yatra-2083 will be held from Kartik 8 to Kartik 30 this year. The procession has been organized with the aim of preserving Vedic Sanatan Dharma, spreading spiritual awareness, and conveying a message of national religious and cultural unity.
Organizers say the yatra, carried out in line with the resolve of Muktinath Peethadhishwar Swami Kamalnayanacharya, popularly known as Muktinath Baba, connects major pilgrimage sites, monasteries and ashrams from the east to the west of the country.
Baba's successor, Swami Vasudev Prapannacharya, said the chariot procession would promote the country's religious tourism and spread the glory of the Kali Gandaki and Muktikshetra at home and abroad. According to him, the yatra will also help strengthen ties among pilgrimage sites and reinforce national unity within a diverse society.
