14,891 goats sacrificed at Janakpurdham's Rajdevi temple on Maha Ashtami

A total of 14,891 goats have been sacrificed at the Rajdevi temple in Janakpurdham this year.

The sacrifices were offered at the temple from Sunday night through this morning on the occasion of Maha Ashtami during the Bada Dashain festival.

Devotees visited the temple on Maha Ashtami day to offer worship along with the sacrifices. This year, the number of goats sacrificed has reached nearly 15,000.

During Bada Dashain, worship is held at goddess temples throughout Navaratri. A large crowd of devotees gathered at the Rajdevi temple as well to offer sacrifices on the occasion of Maha Ashtami.
