Floods, landslides hit highways in five districts; Gorkha-Dhading road fully blocked

Floods and landslides have affected major highways and road sections in five districts of the country. Nepal Police released this information on the condition of the highways in an update as of 6 am Monday.

According to police, one road section in Gorkha is completely blocked, cutting off the road connecting Gorkha and Dhading entirely.

Similarly, major highways in districts including Myagdi and Nawalparasi East have also been affected by floods and landslides. In Myagdi, the road at Bhasbhase in Beni Municipality-2 has subsided, disrupting traffic on the alternative Baglung-Beni road, which connects Myagdi and Mustang to the national highway network.

Roads and infrastructure in various places had been affected following continuous rainfall from Asoj 8 to 11.
