The Ministry of Home Affairs has suspended the National Private and Boarding Schools' Association of Nepal, N-PABSON, until a further decision is made.

N-PABSON is an organization operating with approval under the National Directives Act, 2018. The ministry issued a public notice on Friday, Kartik 13, announcing the suspension.

According to the notice, the organization has been found to have repeatedly disregarded directives issued by the ministry under Section 5 of the Act. The ministry has concluded that the organization's office-bearers acted against the government-approved statute and the organization's core objectives.

The ministry had called the concerned parties for discussion on this matter on Asoj 23. At that time, it had urged the organization to work according to the directives issued earlier.

After continued violation of those directives, the ministry decided on the suspension under Section 6, Sub-section (2) of the Act.

According to the ministry, any activity carried out by any group or faction using the N-PABSON name will now be considered illegal. The notice also warns that those involved in such activities will face action under prevailing law.
