Trump scraps plan to livestream execution after criticism

US President Donald Trump has said that the execution by firing squad to be carried out under military jurisdiction will not be broadcast live. He scrapped the plan after it drew criticism.
The plan had been to livestream the execution of Nidal Hasan, a former US Army soldier convicted in a military case of murder by shooting.
The issue of livestreaming the execution became controversial in connection with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. After widespread criticism, President Trump said the execution would not be livestreamed.
