UML, CPN and JSP Nepal form new Madhesh power alignment, prepare JSP-led government

A new power alignment is taking shape in Madhesh province. CPN-UML, the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) and the Janata Samajwadi Party (JSP) Nepal, together with their coalition partners, are preparing to form a new provincial government.
Leaders of the parties involved say there is a strong likelihood that the new government formed by this coalition will be led by JSP Nepal. On this basis, preparations are moving ahead to form a new government in Madhesh under JSP Nepal's leadership.
Under the new alignment, UML, CPN and JSP Nepal will remain in the same coalition. There are indications that other parties besides these three may also join the alliance.
The formal process and date for forming the government have not yet been made public. Discussions on government formation among the coalition partners are said to be ongoing.
