Tanahu hydropower plant construction in final stage, nearly 80 percent complete

Construction of the powerhouse of the Tanahu Hydropower Project, currently under construction at Rishing Rural Municipality-1 in Tanahu, has reached its final stage.

Construction of the major structures of the 140-megawatt project, including its underground powerhouse, is in the final phase. The powerhouse is being built underground.

Under Package 2 of the project, work on the powerhouse, tunnel and the installation of related equipment is nearly 80 percent complete. This package covers the underground powerhouse, the tunnel and the installation of equipment related to power generation.

With these major works under Package 2 nearing completion, construction of the 140-megawatt Tanahu Hydropower Project is moving toward its final stage.
