Dog Tihar and Laxmi Puja fall on the same day today, dog worship in morning, Laxmi Puja in evening

Kukur Tihar and Laxmi Puja are being celebrated on the same day today, Sunday, the second day of Yamapanchak. Dogs, who guard homes, are being worshipped and honoured in households across the country with tasty food.
This coincidence has occurred because, due to variations in the lunar date, the Chaturdashi tithi falls during the day while the Aunsi tithi falls in the evening. Based on this, the Nepal Panchang Nirnayak Vikas Samiti decided that both festivals should be observed on the same day.
According to Acharya Laxman Panthi, a member of the International Panchang Nirnaya Samiti, people should worship dogs in the morning today and perform Laxmi Puja in the evening.
The Narak Chaturdashi ritual bath is also being observed today, on Kartik Krishna Chaturdashi. In the evening, Laxmi, the goddess of prosperity, wealth and abundance, will be worshipped.
