Europe will not survive without closed borders, Trump warns

US President Donald Trump has warned that Europe's very existence will be at risk if it does not close its borders to stop immigration and deport those involved in crime.

Speaking to reporters outside the White House on Monday, he claimed that immigration is the root cause of the unrest seen in European countries including France.

According to Trump, the root of France's problems is not education or domestic policy but immigration. He said he had suggested years ago that French President Emmanuel Macron close the borders and had repeatedly warned him about this.

Trump claimed France has run into trouble by admitting people who do not respect its culture, art and heritage. He also remarked on changes in the population composition of Paris.
