Home Ministry suspends N-PABSON for not following directives

The Home Ministry has suspended the National Private and Boarding Schools' Association Nepal (N-PABSON).

In a notice issued on Friday, the ministry suspended the organization, which operates under the National Directives Act, 2018 (2018 B.S.), until a further decision is made.

The notice states that the organization repeatedly failed to comply with directives given to it, and that its office-bearers acted against the statute approved by the Government of Nepal and against the organization's core objectives. With the suspension, the organization's activities have been halted until a further decision is made.

N-PABSON is an organization of private school operators.

Following the suspension, the organization's chairperson, Suvas Neupane, said the organization was registered and operating lawfully under the National Directives Act, 2018. He said the suspension came about due to internal disputes within the organization and a failure to honor a gentleman's agreement.
