Chinese ambassador meets Industry Minister Saah, discusses trade cooperation

Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song paid a courtesy call on Industry, Commerce and Supplies Minister Deepak Kumar Saah at the ministry on Wednesday. The secretariat of Minister Saah said the meeting discussed further strengthening the long-standing friendly relations between Nepal and China.

The secretariat said expanding economic cooperation between the two countries also came up during the talks. According to the secretariat, both sides discussed bilateral trade and investment promotion.

The meeting also touched on the need to expand access for Nepali products to international markets. Minister Saah and Ambassador Chen also exchanged views on advancing possibilities for industrial development and economic partnership.

Both sides shared views on exploring investable opportunities in industry and infrastructure and making trade cooperation more effective. The secretariat noted that the possibility of taking economic relations between the two countries to a new height was also discussed, adding that the meeting highlighted the need to advance Nepal-China cooperation in areas of mutual benefit and economic prosperity.
