Rap reality show 'Hustle by NepHop' to launch in Nepal

'Hustle by NepHop,' the Nepali version of the rap reality show 'MTV Hustle' popular in India, is set to be produced in Nepal itself. The show, being brought in by Malin Media and Event Pvt. Ltd., will air on Kantipur Television.
Two-wheeler brand TVS has become the title sponsor of the show's Ntorq series, so it will be presented under the name 'TVS Ntorq Presents Hustle by NepHop.'
Organizers say that although the show is based on a foreign format, it will center on Nepali artists' own stories, local culture and social context, and the distinct identity of Nepali hip-hop. They say the show will prioritize competition, mentorship and musical performance.
Carrying the slogan 'From the streets to glory,' the show aims to give new talent a national platform and opportunities. Organizers are preparing to develop it as a premium rap reality show.
The announcement comes as Nepali hip-hop music enters a new phase.
